What To Expect When Visiting Jamaica – COVID Requirements

I just ended an online meeting with the Jamaica Tourism Board which was fun and informative. Below are the current protocols for visiting Jamaica. For my current clients who will be visiting Jamaica I am emailing you directly regarding your visit.🌴

As a One Love Jamaica Travel Specialist I like to keep informed about tourism in Jamaica for my clients traveling to the destination.

❗️ ALL travelers to Jamaica must complete and upload a travel authorization form

❗️ If traveling from a high-risk location as designated by the Jamaican Health Authorities, please get a COVID-19 Test within 10 days of your intended date of travel. Currently this is AZ, FL, NY, TX.

❗️ Once complete and reviewed travel authorization then you will receive an email with your Travel Authorization.

❗️ You will need to show a printed copy of this form to an airline agent at check-in, or when boarding your flight. You may be declined boarding if you don’t have it.

😷 Jamaicans are wearing masks and following social distancing protocols.

🌡 You will have your temperature checked at the airport

🏝 You are required to remain on the resort for the duration of your stay (so choose wisely).

🥙 At this time Rick’s Cafe is only open to locals.

📅 Current protocols will be reviewed on 31 July and any updates presented at that time.

You can find all the updated information including the travel authorization form at the Visit Jamaica website.

Until next time…
